Every one of us was wonderfully made and uniquely called. God created each of us in His image and He delights in us. He desires for us to resemble His character and to share life with Him. Deep within every human heart is a longing to know our perfect Heavenly Father—to receive and share His extravagant love.

Yet we also bear the scars of living in this broken world. Every one of us experiences circumstances we were never meant to endure. Loss, trauma, hardship, and sin was never a part of God’s original design and it deeply grieves His heart. We have all fallen short, making mistakes and choosing our own desires over what God is gently encouraging us to do. We have sinned against Him and one another. We are in a great need of mercy and grace.

Because God is perfectly fair and just, sin could not simply be ignored without compromising His holy nature. Just as an honest judge cannot let the guilty go free without justice being served, God could not overlook our sin. The penalty for sin is death because sin separates us from God, who alone is the source of life.

​

God's plan for redemption was to enter our world by taking on our humanity so He could walk among us with compassion and understanding. His name was Jesus. He said, "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." He came to heal us, restore us to Himself, and give each of us a contagious hope.

​

Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and willingly offered Himself as the sacrifice for our sins, accepting the death He did not deserve so that we would never have to be separated from God.

​

He died on the cross in our place, bearing the weight of our sin and experiencing the separation from God that we deserved. Three days later, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death forever. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us.

​

Because of all He has done for us, we can now come to Him with confidence and trust. He knows us completely. He understands every joy, every sorrow, every fear, and every hurt. There is nothing we can do to earn His love or win His favor. By His incredible grace, we are invited into His forever family. We simply receive the gift He freely offers. We get to be loved by Him forever. When we accept His love, He fills us with His Holy Spirit.

He wants to heal what has been broken, right every wrong, wipe away every tear, fill our hearts with His love, and transform our lives into something more beautiful than we could ever imagine, all for His glory. His desire is that we would know Him and reflect His love so that others may come to know Him as well.

​

Our prayer is that By His Hand Foundation would play a part in God's great plan by caring for children and strengthening the birth and adoptive families who love them. May His will be done, and may every person come to know how deeply they are loved by their perfect Heavenly Father and accept His invitation to become part of His forever family.
